Great staff, great food.

We always make sure to stop here when we're traveling between Halifax and New Brunswick. The club sandwich is great, the scallops are cooked perfectly, and the prices are very reasonable. The staff have always been welcoming and prompt. The restaurant also looks wonderful following the recent renovation!

Even with a reservation, we had to wait an hour for food. We had to ask for menus as well. The food was delicious and one of the waitress' was helpful. Next time, I would question the wait before sitting down.

Good chili. We have been trying to come to this restaurant on several trips in the area, but always seem to miss it, or come by when they are closed. We finally made it this time and enjoyed a meal. This is just an average review. The service was average. They forgot to bring spoons for the tea, didn't bring a soup spoon for the chili, and the hot hamburger sandwich had burned hamburger. Not what we were hoping for. It's possible they are resting on their laurels, as I know they have a really good reputation. Today may have been an off day.

Great seafood chowder!

Great local tavern/pub. Go for the flounder dinner! Burgers are good as well. No gastropub experience here but that is fine. Good solid small town pub food!

Only restaurant and bar open in the winter months. Good spot to visit though.

Glooscap is a wonderful friendly restaurant with a cosy atmosphere and great food.. We drive from Moncton NB to this restaurant just to have a great meal and friendly service.

Last night we stopped here at approximately 5:15 to get supper. There were very few people there. There were two people to our left(not served) two to.our right who were eating their meal and six in front of fireplace that were just being served. The room off to.the right, which i couldn't see ) seemed to be busy. Not our fault. We ordered a bowl of seafood chowder and a sandwich...pretty simple...we waited 43 minutes before our meal was served. WE were not happy. The two.people to our left, who were there before us, were served their food after us. The food was very good, and the hostess was very nice BUT REALLY 43 minutes for a bowl of chowder and one sandwich. Why did that happen. I was extremely disappointed. One should be told if the wait was going to be that long,, as I would have left. Not sure I will return....No apology, no explanation...43 minutes!!!!

Extremely good value for your money. The prices weren't too high, the service was awesome, and there was a good selection to chose from. Inside the restaurant was kept clean and it had a nice hometown feel to it. Would absolutely return next time I visit the area!

Good home cooked food! Soups and desserts from scratch. Pie slices don't look pretty after they leave the pie dish but they are very tasty!

A truly delightful and family friendly Restaurant and Bar. Modest prices and friendly staff. If you're lucky you'll be there on wing night. They have discount wings and the place starts to fill up more than an hour ahead of the time and the special kicks in. A nice menu selection as well as drinks and a variety of draft beer.

Excellent steak and was a perfect medium rare.

If you are going through Parrsboro (you should !) and want to enjoy a calm nice lunch-break before headed back on the road, than that's the place. Burger / Fish n' ship type of food, but even for the picky me it was satisfying ! Not much beer choice, mostly crappy industrial (Coors, Budweiser, Molson, etc ...) but they have one or two local-ish, like an Halifax one.Good place while you are there.

Great service and very fast, food was ok.

The lobster Mac and cheese was good, not worth the price though. Food isn't great but will keep you alive if starved. Prices are high for the quality, should probably get new cooks.

It was great to be there on their re opening night. All our old favorites, delicious as usual.
